Jamon Miller finally received a dual major from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN in English and Creative Writing. Jamon Miller, author of She is...Africa (October 5, 2005), has been writing since a very young age. At the age of ten he started writing scripts for movies and plays, later moving onto short stories, and finally novels.
He started on blank sheets of paper and went through whole forest of notebooks before moving onto typewriters and finally into the new age of computers. His mother purchased his first computer a used laptop for Christmas one year. Students and teachers in his elementary, junior high, and high schools could probably still recall him today, writing away during class, honing his craft.
He knew that being an author was his destiny, and writing would be the greatest accomplishment of his lifetime.
Jamon' has always had a great desire to see and experience the world. He made travel to several cultural and historical significant places throughout the world to experience humanity on so many different places and in so many different levels, he witness places of great beauty in his travels to Hawaii, Mexico, Central and South America.
After college, Jamon spent time working in the field of finance. He worked at several financial institutions, including Wells Fargo, Allianz Life, and Us Bank. During the critical financial crisis that affected so many and decimated the mortgage industry. Jamon heard many stories of people losing everything after working their whole lives, and nearing retirement age with almost nothing.
Jamon recognized that his dedication to writing would have a positive impact on many people across the world. His dreams were realized upon completion of his first novel, She is... Africa (August 20, 2012). Jamon was honored by the warm reception he received from the readers. They saw how clearly their lives paralleled the story of this young girl who lived hundreds of years ago.
Jamon published Gardens and the Warrior of Heaven (March 13, 2013). The intent behind the qualities and personalities of each character brought joy to the readers. Everyone heart went out to Tenchi the little purple eyed boy on his journey through the magical world of Meteora to get back home in a world made to separate him from everything he holds dear.
When not writing he helps raise his nephew and nieces, and spends time with his family and some pretty special friends.
One of the greatest joys he's found is engaging with his readers. it has been a rewarding and inspirational experience. The loving support of his fans has continued to drive his quest to write the next, great American novel.
